Finding the right school for a child is a significant step that can affect the entire life of the child as well as parents. It is therefore crucial to understand the school philosophy and guidelines. BHIS’s parent-student orientation program assists you in understanding the processes and guidelines.

Eligibility

Grades 1 - 3

BHIS follows a validated open-entry model for admission across all centers. Admissions are on first come first serve basis based on age-eligibility.

Grades 4 - 5

After Grade 3, a competency level test is conducted to assess the child’s admission to a particular grade. For Grades 3 and 4, subjects assessed are English, Math and Social Studies.

Grades 6 - 10

IGrade 5 onwards, a test for Hindi is also conducted. The results of the tests are used to determine the level of support the school needs to offer to ensure the child’s transition into the new environment.

Process

School Discovery Tour

Following the registration of prospective students, parents are given a discovery tour by a coordinator from the preschool.

Admission Kit

Alternatively, the admission kit with information related to the admission process, eligibility and fee structure can be purchased from the school office.

Orientation

The coordinator is the one-point contact for orienting parents with the educational philosophy implemented by the school and the curriculum. This is followed by an extensive orientation of the admissions process and important school policies.
